Artes de la Rosa is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and interpreting the art, culture, lives and history of the latino community.

Artes de la Rosa, formerly Latin Arts Association of Fort Worth is the non-profit organization that manages the historic gem of Fort Worth 's Northside – The Rose Marine Theater, and Fort Worth 's only Hispanic theater company - Teatro de la Rosa. Artes de la Rosa obtained its non-profit status from the IRS in November, 1999, and though still a young organization, has quickly managed to become an award-winning organization receiving praise for its children's programming and critical acclaim for its productions. Artes de la Rosa is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and interpreting the art, culture, lives, and history of the Latino community by (1) establishing a venue for Latino art and cultural performances (2) offering educational art/culture programs to the community including at-risk youth in low-income neighborhoods, (3) providing opportunities and support for established and emerging artists and performers, and (4) serving as the central support organization and resource center for Latino art and culture in the City of Fort Worth.

The Rose Marine Theater, the home of Artes de la Rosa, opened as a movie house in the 1920s and has operated under three names: the Rose, the Roseland, and the Marine Theater. When it was the Marine Theater, the facility presented Spanish language films to the North Side's growing Hispanic population. The theater is listed on the National Register of Historic places and is part of the Marine Commercial Historic District. Today, the Rose Marine Theater has a seating capacity of 254 seats and provides an intimate setting with excellent acoustics for any type of performance. Adjacent to the theater is a gorgeous outdoor plaza and art gallery which both provide ample space for performances and receptions.

Teatro de la Rosa Theater Company was formed by a group of local Hispanic actors who created their first season of plays in 2003, but began teaching workshops for youths at the Rose Marine Theater five years ago. In just a few short years, the theater company has created several successful seasons of work receiving critical acclaim by the media. In 2004, Teatro de la Rosa embarked on its first regional tour throughout North Texas with Young Audiences. In 2006, the theater company embarked on its first tour of Texas making a total of ten stops across the Lone Star State . In 2007, the company increased its touring statewide and began touring the nation with its first out-of-state stop in Columbia , MO. The company, widely known for its innovative work with children gives free classes at both the Rose Marine Theater and across the Fort Worth ISD through 21st Century, Communities In Schools, and Fort Worth After School.

Artes de la Rosa has garnered several local and national awards including the 2006 Coming Up Taller Award, the 2007 Best of the Arts Award by the Fort Worth Weekly for Best Performing Arts Organization, and has been a continuous participant since 2005 in the Kennedy Center 's Capacity Building Program for ethnic-specific organizations.
