A season that celebrates our diversity by laying claim to our art and saying that each one of us has a voice and it will be heard here at the Rose Marine Theater. A View From the Bridge by Arthur Miller

This fast-paced production of Arthur Miller’s award winning drama of Eddie, a Brooklyn longshoreman, obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine. When Catherine falls in love with a newly arrived immigrant, Eddie’s jealousy erupts into a rage that consumes him, his family, and his world exploring the trials of immigration and how a family becomes tangled in a web of misplaced honor and possessive desire. Dies y Seiz de Septiembre Celebration

The Devils Backbone (El espinazo del Diablo)

In this film, an imposing stone building is the setting for a school which shelters the orphans of the Republican militia and other orphans. Upon his arrival, 10-year-old Carlos is confronted with the young caretaker Jacinto. Aggressive and greedy, he is filled with hatred for the school that houses him and the teachers that raised him. Gradually, Carlos uncovers the dark ties that bind the students, including the secret that haunts them - Santi, who was brutally murdered, and whose ghost now wanders the grounds. Free Spanish Event.
Dia de los Muertos Festival
October 29, 2011 at 7:30pm – Procession begins at Marine Park at 7:00 pm.
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with our annual celebration featuring a drum and puppet procession from Marine Park to the Rose Marine Theater Plaza. Complete with music, dancing, face painting and pan de muerto, this family event is a perfect way to celebrate the rich Mexican culture. Bilingual Event. Free. Rain or Shine.
SLAM: Poets & Passion in Performance

From the writer of the Tony Award winning musical, In the Heights, comes this tender family comedy about an American teenager and her estranged Cuban mother who drive cross-country in an '83 Buick Regal exploring the relationships we have with our parents. 26 Miles reminds us that the best souvenirs on the road of life are the relationships we make along the way. The Black & White Casino Night Ball

Whether dressing up in your little black dress, or dressing down in your plain white t-shirt, this night of gambling excitement is not to be missed. Filled to the brim with Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, Poker, Slots and more, we have something for everyone! Join us at 7:00 for special performances on the Rose Marine stage, sampling sweets, eats, and drinks. Gaming Begins at 8:00pm - Tables close and raffle drawing at 11:00 pm.
Sugar
Friday, February 10th, 2012 at 7:30 PM
A film about Miguel "Sugar" Santos, a serious kid from the Dominican Republic, signs with Kansas City. He is sent to the Class A team "The Swing" in Bridgetown, Iowa, where he lives with a farm family. Thus begins his odyssey: leaving his mom and girlfriend, living in an alien culture, learning English, navigating friendships, racism, dealing with injury, trying performance-enhancing drugs and searching for his place in the world. The 2nd Annual Rose Marine Latino Film Festival
February 24th, 2012 – February 26th, 2012
Created to celebrate and revive the Latino cinematic history of Fort Worth's Rose Marine Theater by showcasing international, independent Latino films, this three day festival will bring together the community with some of the best in emerging cinematic artists in the country for a celebration of film and Latino culture. Under the Same Moon (La Misma Luna)

Join us in the Plaza for a screening of La Misma Luna. In the hopes of providing a better life for her son, Rosario works illegally in the U.S. while her mother cares for Carlitos back in Mexico. Unexpected circumstances drive both Rosario and Carlitos to embark on their own journeys in a desperate attempt to reunite.
